The man-made spacecraft Voyager-1 has traveled the longest distance in space so far. The astronomical unit becomes much smaller to measure this distance. So here the distance is calculated by calculating the light year. 1 light year means that light travels as far as it can from the earth in one year. After the Sun, the closest star to our Earth is Proxima Centa. Which is about 4.24 light-years from Earth. It would take about 70,000 years for Voyager 1 to get there at its current speed.

If we zoom out more then our Milky Way galaxy can be seen. And one of the little dots in this area is our world. Just think, our world is as small as a tiny grain compared to this Milky Way. It will take us about a million light years to travel from one corner of this galaxy to another. And our galaxy is filled with about 10 trillion planets and stars.
